Wisdom Keeper Hope Seekers

Black theological education stands at a leadership cliff. The institutions that have trained generations of pastors, chaplains, and denominational leaders are contending with a convergence of demographic, financial, and technological pressures that no single seminary can solve alone. Led by Howard University School of Divinity, the Wisdom Keepers, Hope Seekers Project bridges generational wisdom with emerging hope through three interconnected pathways — pipeline development, institutional capacity building, and permanent financial sustainability. This effort creates the first endowment ever shared among Historically Black Theological Institutions — a permanent financial foundation that no single seminary could build alone. Where individual institutions have long worked in isolation to build reserves, this fund pools the collective effort of Historically Black Theological Institutions so they can accomplish together what none could accomplish independently.
