Almost 50 years later we agree with this bold statement from the 1977 Bison yearbook staff! Next May we celebrate our 50th Year Reunion. Until then, take time to connect with classmates and reminisce. Remember enjoying the post-Homecoming game gathering on the “yard”, your Med School White Coat ceremony, Gil Scott-Heron at Cramton or the smell of freshly baked Wonder Bread! Your Howard memories stay fresh and our traditions strong.

Today, we begin the fundraising drive for the Class of 1977 Golden Reunion Giving Campaign. The Class gift is a hallmark of Howard’s Golden Reunions. Our collective giving is a celebration and affirmation of Howard’s meaningful impact on our lives. Over the last six years, the Golden Reunion Classes have raised an impressive average of $1.1 million. We can meet this challenge!

Howard’s recent successes are impressive. Our alma mater is recognized as the #1 HBCU by Forbes America, Princeton Review and U.S News and World Report as well as one of the nation’s top colleges and best global universities. Howard has received historic levels of investment in faculty-led research. In sports, last school year Bison women won seven athletic conference titles and the men three titles. With both basketball teams making the play-in games for the 2026 NCAA tournament.

The Mecca is riding a wave of success worthy of our generous financial support.
