👩🏽‍🏫 MATH TUTORING: Viewboard for Math Center Student Support

$5,000 - One ViewSonic IFP6551

CAPS (Center for Academic Program Support) is a hub of tutoring centers and academic support programs dedicated to student success. With the addition of a Viewboard — an interactive, touch-sensitive display that functions like a giant computer — staff will have a modern multimedia integration resource to elevate their services. The CAPS Math Center offers students math placement test prep and developmental math prep, tutoring, and math learning coaches.

Your gift helps provide students with a resource to support the CAPS Math Center:

• 65" Interactive screen with 50- Point Touch Screen
• Android™ 14 EDLA certification
• Direct access to Google and Microsoft 365 files

The Impact:

• Accessibility: help make content accessible to students with different learning needs and physical abilities
• Enhanced engagement and improved collaboration: Viewboards facilitate easier group work, brainstorming, and real-time collaboration on shared projects or documents
• Increased productivity: Save the mess and clean up time of keeping boards clean, allowing previous writing, notes, and work to be reviewed digitally as opposed to being erased

"CAPS taught me how to ask questions, where to go when I needed something and good study habits. The help that I got made it so much easier to navigate college during my first year." – Ralph Mariani (Student)

The Math Center provides tutoring to all HCC students in the area of mathematics and physics, courses that HCC students need to take.
