Hofstra Law is committed to helping talented, purpose driven students succeed in law school and beyond. In recent years, we have strengthened our approach to bar exam preparation, implementing strategies across all class years to better support students and improve first-time bar passage outcomes. These efforts have yielded meaningful results — including our highest bar passage rate in a decade.
Our work with bar preparation partners and our own research shows that students who complete at least 80 percent of their weekly bar preparation course materials are significantly more likely to pass the exam.
To further support students with financial or caregiving responsibilities, the Law School created the Bar Exam Study Grant a couple of years ago. This program provides grants of up to $2,500 to help students meet financial obligations so they can dedicate the eight critical weeks before the exam to focused study — time that is essential for bar passage success.
