Gifts to Haverford Mock Trial contribute to...
Founded in 2014, Haverford Mock Trial is a student-run, collegiate mock trial program at Haverford College outside Philadelphia in Pennsylvania.
Haverford’s Mock Trial team is a nationally recognized, entirely student-run organization that competes in the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) circuit.
In April 2025, the team delivered an exceptional performance at the AMTA National Championship Tournament, placing fifth in its division and earning recognition as one of the top 25 teams in the United States. Former team co-president Bella Salathé ’25 was also named the nation’s top collegiate lawyer, a remarkable individual achievement.
What makes Haverford’s success especially impressive is its independence. Out of more than 700 teams competing in AMTA events, Haverford’s team operates entirely under student leadership and benefits from the guidance of dedicated alumni volunteers, including Ceci Cohen ’24, Drew Evans'19, Jordan McGuffee ’18, and Isabella Canelo Gordon ’18, who accompanied the team to nationals.
"As a low-income, first generation, homeless student, Haverford Mock Trial has given me the opportunity to travel, network, and finally experience stability -- and most importantly, I will forever be a part of the Haverford Mock Trial family. Without donations, I wouldn't be able to be a part of this activity. Because of the four years I've been on Haverford Mock Trial, I was accepted as a Stanford Law Scholar and have been able to polish my trial advocacy skills which has helped me in my job as a legal assistant. I am forever grateful for this program and the people that support it"
