About

Haverford College is proud to support student journalism and the free press.

The Clerk - The Clerk launched online in April 2012 with the goal of providing timely, aggressive news coverage of the Bi-College community, completely independent of the institution and student government. We believe that an independent student press is important for holding the institution accountable, connecting students to their community, and passing on skills for critically engaging society and government. A strong and conscientious student press is key to a more transparent and accountable educational environment.

"The best part has been shaping stories that genuinely matter to our peers—stories that spark conversation, challenge assumptions, and sometimes even prompt action. Collaborating with writers, guiding them through the editorial process, and watching their voices develop has been incredibly rewarding." - Jackson Juzang '26, Associate Editor

The Bi-College News - The Bi-College News is the award-winning student newspaper of Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges. It was founded in 1968, when The Haverford News (Haverford College, founded 1909) and The College News (Bryn Mawr College, founded 1914) merged to establish a paper that would compile noteworthy stories from both colleges in one location. To this day, The Bi-College News continues to be the only on-campus publication to provide timely, comprehensive coverage of news, arts, sports, opinions and public interest events in both the Haverford and Bryn Mawr communities.

"The Bi-Co News has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my college career thus far. Writing articles allows me to engage with our diverse, intelligent, and unique Bi-Co community in ways that I would not have before. As an independent student newspaper, donations allow us to publish print editions, an essential part of the journalistic process. It is so important, especially in this political climate, for student journalists to have support in order to thrive." - Bridget Sweeney, BMC '28, News Editor

Consensus - Self-proclaimed as "Haverford's third-most legitimate news organization", the Consensus is Haverford's satirical serial.

"Being a part of a club focused on humor allows me to dull the pain of school and life." - Emma Fauser '29
