It’s Spring Athletics Fundraising Week, and Hamline Softball has set a fundraising goal of $5,000 to support our upcoming spring training trip to Florida. Make your gift today and support Hamline Softball student-athletes bring their “A” game to the field and the classroom.
Jim Rubbelke, Hamline Softball Head Coach, is donating $25 for each of the first 20 softball alumnae who donate!
Training in Florida is an exciting opportunity for softball student-athletes to train in warm weather and compete in ten games against top-tier teams from across the country. It also supports:
- Enhanced Skill Development: Playing against diverse opponents challenges our players and pushes them to improve their individual and team skills.
- Teamwork and Camaraderie: Shared experiences like travel and competition fosters strong bonds and deepens the team's unity.
- Life Skills Development: The trip offers valuable lessons in teamwork, responsibility, budgeting, and problem-solving in a real-world setting.
Your donations will help cover expenses such as van rentals for transportation between the hotel and games, hotel stays to ensure the team is well-rested and prepared for the trip, and nutritious meals for players to maintain energy and focus throughout the trip.
We are committed to raising funds through a variety of initiatives, including running youth tryouts for local softball organizations and our Annual Wine and Beer Tasting Event on February 8th. However, we rely heavily on the support of our family, friends, alumni, and community to make this trip a reality for our deserving athletes.

*Any dollars raised over our goal will go toward enhancing the Hamline Softball program in this and upcoming seasons. If the trip is canceled for the team or for an individual player for any reason, donations to this campaign will also go toward enhancing the Hamline Softball program in this and upcoming seasons.

We are in the final stretch of Spring Athletics Fundraising Week, and we appreciate your support! Due to your generosity, 5 programs are 75% of the way to their goal or have hit their goal, and 4 of 10 matches/challenges have been met!
However, there is still work to be done. We have about $3,200 left in matching gift funds. Now is a great time to celebrate your gift and the teams/programs successes. We are asking you to share the campaign with your Hamline community to help ensure matching gift funds are not left unmatched.
Sports Medicine: Help improve their facility so they can continue to deliver individualized care, innovative treatment options, and maintenance that prevents injuries and ushers speedy recoveries. Only $25 left in matching funds.
Strength & Conditioning: Invest in top-tier weight room equipment that will enhance athletic performance, reduce injury rates, and help recruit and retain top talent. $2,400 left in matching funds.
The Piper Athletic Association (PAA) Fund: Help provide all student-athletes with essential mental performance resources to help them excel both in the classroom and on the field. $325 left in matching funds.
Participating Teams: The experience student-athletes have at Hamline has a direct correlation to the support they receive from alumni, fans, friends, and family. Your support will have a meaningful impact on the future leaders and changemakers wearing the Piper uniform today. A variety of matching funds are still available!
