Congratulations to Women's Basketball for reaching their original goal of $6,000! Due to the generosity of Hamline alumni and friends, the Women's Basketball campaign goal is now $7,000!

It’s Fall Athletics Fundraising Week, and Hamline Women’s Basketball has set a fundraising goal of $7,000 (up from $6,000 thanks to generous supporters and alumni) to support team travel and other program costs, such as gear and team meals. Help us reach that goal by making a gift today.

The Hamline Women’s Basketball team is heading into its second season with Coach Joshua Hersch at the helm, and they are looking to build off their playoff appearance and enhance the scholar-athlete experience even further.

Last season’s team trip to Florida, where they competed in two non-conference games, was made possible by the generosity of donors. Funds went toward numerous costs, including team meals, hotel stays, and airline travel. This season, the MIAC has changed its conference-play format, and the Pipers are allowed seven non-conference games, compared to just three in previous seasons. Donations toward this year’s Fall Athletics Fundraising Week will allow the team to compete against higher-level non-conference opponents outside the Twin Cities area to best prepare for a successful season. From team meals to bussing, these non-conference trips would not be possible without your help!

Additionally, donations to the fund will allow the Pipers to schedule more JV games to help develop all players on the roster in game situations. Costs for these games include officials and facility fees, as well as travel costs when applicable.

Hamline’s scholar-athletes rely on the generosity of their family, friends and fans to continue receiving the well-rounded, competitive, and positive academic and athletic experience they’ve come to expect from the University. They couldn’t do it without you!
