Women's Tennis: striving for excellence!

We have created an amazing student athlete experience for all Gustie Women’s Tennis players. We have top-notch indoor and outdoor facilities, we support a large roster and our Gustie tennis team competes on the national stage against the best DIII teams in the country.

Our goal continues to be to compete for the MIAC championship every year, give all of our athletes the opportunity to compete nationally and consistently make the NCAA tournament.

We have made many needed improvements to our program and the student athlete experience in the past ten years. We are focused on what we need to remain a top program in the country and what we need to collectively take Gustie Tennis to the next level.

Your gift today will provide critical support for overnight travel for our program, including these two key areas:

• Supporting a large roster - Gustavus Women’s Tennis continues to have one of the largest rosters in the nation, regardless of division. Many weekends we are fielding two varsity teams competing at different sites all across the region. We are committed to giving all our varsity players the chance to compete at a very high level. This commitment takes incremental resources but is crucial for the culture and for overall student athlete development and experience.

• Spring Break - An integral piece of Gustavus Tennis is the annual Spring Break trip. In early March, we hope to bring 18-20 Gustie players and 3 coaches to Orlando, FL where we will play 8 matches over five days. Our top group will play four teams all ranked in the Top 25 in the nation in Division III. Our 2nd group has quality matches against teams, not in Division III, to test where they are at as players. Our goal is to keep the costs to the players minimal.
