A New Era of Gustie Hockey.

The 2024/25 season was truly amazing as the Gustavus Men's Hockey team won both the regular season and playoff MIAC championships, and returned to the NCAA tournament! The program is built on the Gustavus bedrocks - great recruits, unmatched camaraderie, and a sense of purpose. Our team works incredibly hard to be the best that we can be, and we are proud to represent the Three Crowns! The vision is for Gustie Hockey to remain in its rightful place at the top of the MIAC conference and compete for the national championship on an annual basis.

Last year, with engagement from alumni, parents, and friends of the program, Gustie Hockey upgraded some key parts of the student-athlete experience. The goal for this year is to take Gustie Hockey from "up to par" to the next level.

We have several key areas that need improvement:

• Recruiting - Our goal is to expand our recruiting reach and compete with the top East Coast schools for the best players, no matter where they play. We need additional resources to expand our recruiting.
• Equipment - We continue to upgrade our Gustie Gear and equipment by providing custom sticks and upgraded gloves, pants, and jerseys.
• Expanded travel opportunities - Gustie hockey will continue to develop a very competitive non-conference schedule through regional and national opponents. We had a successful trip to Maine in November to play Colby College and Bowdoin - two perennial top 25 teams. We need to continue to play top competition to strengthen our non-conference schedule and enhance the student-athlete experience.

These areas of focus help us elevate the Gustavus Hockey experience and would make a significant impact for this season and beyond!
