Gustie Golf- taking it to the next level!

We have created an amazing student-athlete experience for our Gustie golfers. Gustavus Golf has a top-notch facility (Drenttel Practice Facility), we support a large roster, and our Gustie golfers compete on the national stage against the best DIII teams in the country. Our goal is to win the MIAC men’s and women’s championship every year and make a run for the NCAA Championship.

Gustie Golf has made many needed improvements to our program and the student-athlete experience in the past ten years. We are now focused on what we need to take Gustie Golf to the next level.

We have two key areas of focus:

• Black and Gold Teams - Gustavus Golf continues to support an expanded roster with a Black and Gold team for both the men and women. For local and regional tournaments, we are committed to giving all our varsity golfers the chance to compete. This commitment takes incremental resources but is crucial for the culture and for overall student-athlete development. It is built into the DNA of Gustavus Golf!

• Regional and National Travel - In September, we brought our men to the NCAA DIII National Preview at Howey-in-the Hills in Florida. This tournament featured the best teams in the country, helped our national rankings, and provided an elite experience for our golfers. Our women traveled to compete at Taconic CC against the best DIII teams in the country, hosted by Williams College. Both the men and women played in the Golfweek Invitational in Destin, FL. We will be competing in high-level tournaments in St. Louis (women) and Illinois (men) this Spring. These tournaments are a staple of the Gustavus golf experience and we are committed to providing these amazing opportunities for competition and exposure.
