Scarlet & Give Back Day is back!
To live as a Grinnellian is to live responsibly. To understand there is always more to explore and learn, and more ways to improve whatโs around us.
During Scarlet & Give Back Day over the past six years, members of the Grinnell community have come together to support students with more than 15,000 gifts totaling more than $5.5 million. By coming together and giving as a community, weโve ensured greater access to the opportunities that enable students to succeed academically, professionally, and personally — and to go forth and change the world
Join us now as we come together again. Our collective effort will mean twice as much this year — Betsy Wolcott โ75, Tommy Erdei โ95, and Stephen Sandquist โ95 are offering a dollar-for-dollar match for gifts given on Scarlet & Give Back Day, up to $420,000. You can direct your gift wherever you wish at the College, and the donors will direct an equal amount where they wish at the College
The world needs Grinnellians. And Grinnellians need you.
Please make a Scarlet & Give Back Day gift today to maximize our community impact by taking advantage of this generous $1-for-$1 gift match.
Why do this year's matching gift donors give to Grinnell College?
"I feel the world needs more Grinnellians. We need people who think outside the box, who are smart, caring, and want to make the world a better place for everyone. That is why I support Grinnell College!" Betsy Wolcott โ75

"Grinnell meant a lot to both of us: whether it was quarterbacking the football team, creating the GUM magazine, 2 a.m. bakery runs, special teachers including Don Smith, โJackโ Mutti, Al Jones, and Paul Munyon — among many others. We thrived in Grinnellโs diverse liberal arts education and community. It is to Grinnell that we owe our lifelong friendship and much of the success we have attained. Thank you, Grinnell." Tommy Erdei โ95, and Stephen Sandquist โ95

In the final movement of his final symphony, Mozart performs one of the more extraordinary displays of musical, mathematical, and creative prowess ever presented by a composer ... and he makes it look (or sound!) easy. In this session we examine how a work that, on its surface is seemingly just another bit of musical fun, reveals extraordinary skill on so many levels. Previous experience with music theory or classical music is not necessary to understand this session! Click here to learn more and to register.
