Con Corazón/With Heart will be a named endowment to support Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility for all Girl Scouts in our region in Honor of Lidia Soto-Harmon, Chief Executive Officer, 2010 to 2023. We are proud she has been with Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital for over 18 years.
Lidia’s legacy will continue when we reach our $100,000 goal. We are grateful to the Meyer Foundation, where Lidia served on the board for 10 years, for providing a $50,000 matching contribution to help underwrite projects like Encuentro de Chicas Latinas, a leadership conference for middle and high school girls founded by Lidia, and other important programs that bring our community together.
Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive community that respects and supports all our members.
