About

Philanthropic support of the Class of 1997 Scholarship Fund in honor of your 25th reunion will mean so much to a future GW physician and the future of medicine as a whole.

The GW Med Class of 1997 is seeking to establish an endowed fund to support need-based medical school scholarships. The minimum level to establish a debt-relieving award for medical students is $25,000. Once established, the fund will produce scholarship income in perpetuity to help remove financial barriers to a GW medical degree. Long term, the class will continue to grow the award and leave a legacy of a fully endowed scholarship in honor of the Class of 1997.

It's an incredibly challenging yet powerful time to be a clinician, and GW’s medical students are eager to join the relief efforts. Yet, many of our students are dependent on the generosity of our alumni and community to get there!

The gift of education is one of the greatest gifts of all, and we hope you’ll join your class in creating opportunities for SMHS students to pursue their dreams and make an impact in our communities. Regardless of the size of your gift, every gift makes a difference, and your participation in this effort is essential.
