About

The Elliott School builds leaders for the world – today more than 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students – who have committed themselves to our world-class curriculum in pursuit of meaningful careers in international affairs.

Your support empowers students to excel in coursework, internships, and research to maximize their impact in our changing world;

Philanthropy also supports ESIA faculty in advancing their research on solutions to problems that threaten the world’s health, peace, and prosperity.

Join us by making your gift on Giving Day to support one of the following ESIA priorities, and help prepare the next generation to tackle tomorrow’s global challenges:

  • The Elliott Equity Fund (EEF) underscores the Elliott School’s commitment to bringing the widest possible range of viewpoints and voices to the international affairs community by increasing access to the transformative power of a GW Elliott education through undergraduate and graduate tuition and non-tuition awards for outstanding students with critical financial need.
  • The International Women of Elliott (I/WE) is designed to raise the global visibility and connectivity of women's leadership in the Elliott community through support of graduate fellowships and undergraduate scholarships for Elliott students committed to the advancement of women in international affairs.
  • The Ambassador Edward "Skip" Gnehm Jr. Fellowship is a lasting tribute to the ambassador's exceptional professional life through support of the most outstanding graduate students in our Middle East Studies program, thereby continuing the ambassador's legacy.
  • The Elliott School Dean's Fund is a critical resource dedicated to enhancing the entire School experience such as funding field research, travel to present at conferences, the Dean's Scholars program, and the graduate global capstone program. The fund also supports important programs and initiatives, and provides flexibility for urgent needs as they may arise.
  • The Michael E. Brown Research Fund, named in honor of former Dean Brown, offers support to Elliott School faculty to incubate new ideas, respond to a just-in-time opportunity, or continue long-term projects.
