2022 Gateway Missions Scholarship | In Honor of Dr. Lisa Hoff

This year's #GivingTuesday continues to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Lisa Hoff. We are seeking 150 donors to support students through the Gateway Missions Scholarship. 

Missions is central to the learning experience at Gateway Seminary. Many of our professors have served extensively on the field and many of our students are preparing with us to go into the mission field. The Gateway Missions Scholarship is an investment to support students who are committed to taking the gospel to every nation, serving cross-culturally in challenging ministry contexts.

Your donation supports students who will follow in Dr. Hoff's footsteps. Before she was on faculty at Gateway, Lisa was a dedicated student at our campus in Mill Valley. Afterwards, she spent more than a decade as an IMB missionary in East Asia. We're proud of what Dr. Hoff accomplished in her life and want to train more students who will follow in her footsteps; delivering the gospel to those who have never heard it before.

Every year Southern Baptists give to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering to directly support missions. This annual fundraiser celebrates Lottie Moon's legacy and reminds us what it looks like to take the gospel to the nations.

At Gateway, we like to think of Dr. Hoff as our Lottie Moon - her zeal for cross-cultural missions was expansive and inspiring. Students and her fellow staff members at Gateway continue to follow the path she made in her life as a missionary, an educator and as a friend. Making a gift to the Gateway Missions Scholarship is a way each of us can both honor her life and participate in what she was most passionate about.
