Gifts to FHU Challenge 2023 Remote Area Medical Clinic contribute to...
FHU Family-- Today we've been challenged to have 600 people make a gift on the FHU Challenge Day of Giving and in doing so, make a huge difference for FHU students!
As one of the campus groups participating in the FHU Challenge, students and faculty/staff serving with Remote Area Medical clinics are raising money to continue helping at these clinics and providing medical, dental, and vision care to those who are uninsured.
The FHU RAM chapter is attending approximately two clinics each semester. Since RAM clinics are solely dependent on volunteers, it is important for these clinics to have adequate staff. For this reason, the FHU RAM chapter is devoted to taking as many volunteers as possible. In order to make volunteering as accessible as possible, our RAM chapter pays for transportation and lodging for anyone who is willing to serve from FHU.
In addition to the clinic we visited in Sparta, TN in October 2023, we also plan to attend clinics in Cookeville, TN (3/16/2024); and Harriman, TN (4/20/2024) this academic year.
Additionally, we are planning to host a full clinic in Henderson, TN in the fall of 2024. In order to bring free medical, dental, and vision services to Henderson, we need help from donors to financially support our efforts.
To help meet the FHU Challenge and provide assistance to continue participating/hosting RAM clinics, we have a goal of raising $2,000 to help with these expenses.
Will you make a gift today to assist these efforts and help meet the FHU Challenge?
Thank you for taking on the challenge and showing generosity during the FHU Challenge Day of Giving. With over 800 gifts, you supported more than 50 areas across campus, making a positive impact on students.
Your contributions are truly appreciated.
