Let’s celebrate 50 years of Fordham Women’s Basketball!
On December 10, 1970, head coach Judith Hoyer and 13 student-athletes traveled to nearby NYU for Fordham Women’s Basketball’s first-ever varsity contest, prevailing, 37-22. Since that win, the Rams have played just under 1,400 games, seen 237 student-athletes don the maroon and white, played under 12 head coaches, won three conference championships, and competed in 11 postseason tournaments, including three trips to the NCAA tournament. Today, our Rams, under head coach Stephanie Gaitley, are perennial Atlantic 10 championship contenders, having won titles in 2014 and 2019.
Help us mark this historic anniversary by celebrating the past and investing in our program today! Our goal is to reach 237 donors - honoring each and every Women's Basketball player who has passed through the Rose Hill Gym.
