Urban Plunge is a pre-orientation program, run by the Center for Community Engaged Learning, through which first-year undergraduate students come to Fordham early to immerse themselves in serving Fordham’s local New York communities. Through they're from different backgrounds, these students share a commitment to community service, reflection, and social justice. From Dyckman Farmhouse to Covenant House, students are immersed into their Manhattan and Bronx communities. This transformative program allows students to begin their Fordham experience learning about social justice while engaging in service projects and participating in reflection.
The efforts of the Urban Plunge program ensure that all undergraduates learn the value of striving for social justice by engaging in service projects with the communities surrounding the University.
Today is Giving Tuesday, the international day of philanthropy. In its honor, Susan Conley Salice, FCRH '82, and Thomas P. Salice will contribute $20,000 if 350 donors make a gift by 11:59 p.m. EST.
Whether or not you or your student directly participated in Urban Plunge, your support will change lives on and off campus. Help give future students the opportunity to take the “plunge” by supporting scholarships for participants. Every gift – no matter the amount – counts!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of more than 350 donors, Susan Conley Salice, FCRH ’82, and Thomas P. Salice, GABELLI ’82, just issued a new #GivingTuesday challenge.
If 200 more donors make a gift by 11:59 p.m. EST, they will donate another $20,000 to Fordham.
Help us meet this challenge. Thank you, Rams!
