GO! NOLA
GO! New Orleans is working with Lower 9th Ward Center for Sustainable Engagement and Development (CSED) in New Orleans to evaluate the root causes for the ecological racism that followed Hurricane Katrina and how the hurricane’s impact is still seen today. We will be contributing to the 15-year long recovery of New Orleans Lower 9TH Ward by painting, rehabbing properties, and conducting street cleanups.
In addition, we have the wonderful opportunity to explore New Orleans’ culture, and learn about the various social justice issues that plague the city. This trip is rooted in cultivating solidarity, social awareness, and connecting with the people who have dedicated their lives to restoring New Orleans.

We are seeking donations to assist us in financing our Global Outreach Project to New Orleans. Our cohort consists of nine students attending Fordham University who are committed to upholding Jesuit tenet of Magis –striving for the better- by encouraging students to learn about systems of inequality.
