Join us for a morning in the life of your student and get a special glimpse into the classroom experience at Flint Hill. Your day will begin just like it does for every husky, with a cheerful greeting in carpool, and continue as you shadow your student throughout their class activities.
This event is for grandparents and special friends of Lower School students in grades JK-6. We politely request parents visit during open classroom days throughout the school year in order to accommodate grandparents and special friends on this exciting day.

- Put the "Special Friends" in Grandparents and Special Friends Day by inviting important adults in your child's life such as neighbors, aunts, uncles, or family friends.
- This is not a required school day for students. If your child will be absent, please notify the school in SchoolPass.
Traveling to Campus:
We look forward to welcoming many visitors to campus and encourage grandparents and special friends to travel with their students to campus. To help create a smooth experience, we recommend following the steps below when arriving on campus.
- We encourage you to ride with your student through the morning carpool line. Staff will be there to welcome you and direct you to the front entrance.
- We appreciate guests riding together to minimize additional cars on campus.
- Please indicate if you need special accommodations when you RSVP.

Make a Difference for Your Grandchild, and Every Student at Flint Hill!
As grandparents, you feel a strong desire and responsibility to be there for your grandchild in as many ways as possible — and we’re grateful to have you as members of our Flint Hill family!
While you can’t be with your grandchild at school every day, you can be part of their education with a gift to the Flint Hill Fund.
Each year, the Flint Hill Fund helps provide critical funds for the daily experience of each of our students — from new programs that support the ever-changing needs of today’s learners to professional development opportunities for talented faculty to equipment and supplies for students. Make a gift at the end of the registration process or contact Director of the Flint Hill Fund Chris Kitzmiller at ckitzmiller@flinthill.org or 703.583.2349.
