Dr. William T. Abare, Jr. and Susan J. Abare Endowed Scholarship
The Dr. William T. Abare, Jr. and Susan J. Abare Endowed Scholarship honors a legacy of dedication, leadership, and service that helped shape Flagler College into the institution it is today.
Over a 46-year career, including 16 years as president, Dr. Abare played a critical role in the College’s growth and success. From building enrollment in Flagler’s early years to leading major campus developments, advancing academic programs, and guiding the transition to NCAA Division II athletics, his leadership left a lasting impact across every area of the College.
Together, Dr. and Mrs. Abare’s commitment to Flagler and its students continues to inspire future generations of leaders.
This scholarship supports rising juniors and seniors who demonstrate exceptional leadership in academics, athletics, and student involvement.
