About

Department of Humanities

The Department of Humanities at Flagler College, within the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, is dedicated to shaping thoughtful, engaged, and informed individuals. Through disciplines that explore human history, culture, language, and ideas, our students gain the skills to think critically, communicate effectively, and navigate an increasingly complex world.

What sets Humanities at Flagler apart is the connection between faculty expertise and student experience. Our professors are actively engaged at the local, regional, national, and international levels, bringing real-world insight directly into the classroom. This approach creates a dynamic, student-centered learning environment rooted in transformative education, inclusive community, ethical citizenship, and thoughtful stewardship.
