Pre-Health Education at Flagler College
Flagler College is expanding opportunities for students pursuing careers in healthcare. With the launch of the new Biology major, interest in pre-health pathways continues to grow among both current and prospective students.
To meet this demand and better prepare students for professional school, the Natural Sciences Department is introducing two critical courses: Physics II and Organic Chemistry II. These courses are essential prerequisites for students pursuing careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine.
A key component of these courses is hands-on laboratory experience. In the lab, students move beyond theory to develop essential skills such as analyzing complex systems, interpreting data, and solving real-world problems. These experiences mirror the challenges students will face in clinical and research environments.
Our Roar & Raise Goal
Our goal is to raise $5,000 to support laboratory equipment and supplies for new pre-health courses.
Our Fundraising Priority
Your support will help provide:
• Modern laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Essential materials, reagents, and supplies for experiments
• Hands-on learning experiences in Physics II and Organic Chemistry II
• Expanded access to high-impact lab-based education
These resources are critical to delivering a high-quality, career-focused science education.
Why Your Support Matters
Strong laboratory experiences are at the core of preparing future healthcare professionals.
With your support, students will:
• Gain hands-on experience essential for professional school success
• Build critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Develop confidence in laboratory and clinical settings
• Be better prepared for careers in healthcare and research
Your gift directly impacts students by providing the tools and experiences they need to succeed.
