Gifts to Textile Research Project contribute to...
Textiles and dye tell a story of time and place.
Three indigo plantations occupied Northeast Florida and textile artifacts are housed within St. Augustine historical institutions, including Flagler College. Professor Laura Mongiovi is working with two students to digitally document textile artifacts for inclusion on the Omeka Database, an open-source web publishing platform for sharing digital collections. The research is scheduled to go public Fall 2025, allowing these specific St. Augustine stories to be shared with a national audience.
Any gift made during Roar & Raise will provide funding for two students to take part in this unique experiential learning opportunity.
