About

The National Security and Intelligence Student Association (NSISA) at Fairmont State University is a student organization that is dedicated to fostering a community among all Fairmont State Students majoring or minoring in National Security & Intelligence by providing mentorship and networking opportunities within the organization. The organizations bring in guest speakers that are graduates of Fairmont State University, or are currently in a related field, to speak to students who are interested in pursuing careers in intelligence, homeland security, foreign policy, national defense, and law enforcement. NSISA also sponsors educational trips for members to attend conferences and visit important national security related facilities.

This program matters because it fills a critical gap in West Virginia and the surrounding greater DC area who aspire to enter the national security workforce. NSISA prepares students to step confidently into competitive internships and careers as our graduates have secured internships and careers throughout the intelligence community and beyond. The association benefits students by increasing career readiness, expanding access to mentorship, and building a supportive network focused on service, public leadership, and protecting the nation.
