Aviation Program

The Fairmont State University's aviation program is the top producing pilot training program in the State of WV. We were the first to offer CFR part 141 training and are the only program in the State that affords the restricted ATP minimums for tracking to the airlines. The program was established in 2017 and since that time it has rendered close to 600 flight certifications and trained more than 225 student pilots. We have successfully completed more than 25,000 flight training hours. In short, we are the first, most effective, most efficient, most productive, most qualified, flight training program in the State if not the entire Northeast United States. Our graduates, at almost a 100% hiring rate, start their careers at six figures and earn an astounding 17 million dollars throughout their working life. Aviation training at Fairmont State is by far the best return on investment any student could make in the State of WV.

With rising maintenance costs and sluggish supply lines, older aircraft are getting more difficult to maintain. This is why we need your help.
