At Emerson, pride is a concept close to our hearts (and not just because we’re a group of Lions). From the love-fueled parades that have made the month of June sparkle for the last 50 years, to the seriousness and history of what it really means to stand up for acceptance, inclusion, and equity—we strive to be a community that cares for our LGBTQIA+ community every month of the year.
This June, we are celebrating our LGBTQIA+ folx and raising money for the newly created Emerson Pride Fund. This fund will aid the people, programs, and organizations that serve our LGBTQIA+ community, fostering a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community at Emerson College. And when you make a gift from June 1st to 30th, you’ll receive a limited edition Emerson Pride pin as a thank you!

We cannot wait to celebrate Pride with our pride—52,000+ fierce Emersonians. We hope you’ll join us and help us support the next generation of LGBTQIA+ Emersonians.
Please give the pride pins approximately one month to arrive. You will receive one pin per person/per gift. This means that one individual cannot go in and make multiple gifts to receive multiple pins, nor can one person make a gift for multiple people. We love the enthusiasm, but we want to make sure that as many Emersonians get the pin as want them. At the end of the campaign, please feel free to reach out should you wish to receive more pins and we can let you know if there are any more available.

The Pride Fund will be administered through the Office of Campus Life, in consultation with the Vice President and Dean of Campus Life, the Director of Intercultural Student Affairs, and student organization leaders. It will aid in programming, organizations, events, and services for the LGBTQIA+ on campus, fostering a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all students at Emerson College.

Pride takes on a lot of meanings at Emerson.
For many of us, Emerson is where we were able to find our voices and truly become our authentic selves. As a pack of lions (joke aside) we uplift, listen, and celebrate one another for all that makes us, us.
Wherever you land on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, this group serves as space for Emersonians to connect, share points of interest, have conversations about our LGBTQIA+ experiences, and support one another personally and professionally.
