Gifts to Daytona Beach Icarus Sounding Rocket Program contribute to...

The Icarus Sounding Rocket Program aims to establish a sounding rocket program within Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University that provides affordable and sustainable access to space while also providing relevant engineering and manufacturing experience to members.
ISRP is raising $15,000 to purchase rocket motors as well as the hardware required to operate those motors so that students can complete their flagship project, Project Karman, and future flagship projects. Project Karman aims to break the amateur international altitude record, which includes launching Plumbbob, their flagship sounding rocket, and smaller test flight vehicles to test subsystems.
They are also raising $1,000 for lab and safety equipment, including but not limited to, nitrile gloves, isopropyl alcohol and power tools to keep members safe and productive.
