Gifts to Daytona Beach Embry-Riddle Ice Hockey contribute to...
Ice hockey is a tradition at Embry-Riddle. For more than 25 years, the Daytona Beach Campus Eagles have hit the ice and the boards, creating a tradition that extends across campus. A beloved club sport, ice hockey has entertained students, alumni and the Daytona Beach community at large. Support this tradition with a gift to Ice Hockey so that current and future Eagles can continue to enjoy one of the most popular sports on campus.
Unlike other sports at Embry-Riddle, ice hockey is privately funded through club dues, philanthropic gifts and sponsorships. Student players pay an average of $2,100 per person, per year, in club dues in addition to personal expensive equipment purchases to participate in their team. In the 2022 season, there was so much interest from students wanting to play and participate in Embry-Riddle’s Division 2 Ice Hockey Team that a Division 3 team was formed. This brought fans twice the opportunities to watch, but also comes with twice the need.
Thanks to the long-standing support of our alumni, family, friends and community, the ice hockey tradition continues to grow at Embry-Riddle. It's a tradition we wouldn't have without Dr. Jamie "Coach Fletch" Fletcher, the first advisor and coach for Embry-Riddle Ice Hockey. To commemorate his life and legacy, the Coach Fletch Ice Hockey Endowed Memorial Fund was established in his name. The Coach Fletch Fund is the primary support fund of the team. This fund, to the extent which funds are available, will be used to support team operational costs to help lower the per-student participation fee and team expenses for ice time, travel and tournaments.
Show your support for Embry-Riddle Ice Hockey by donating to one of our funds: D-2 team, D-3 team or the Coach Fletch Ice Hockey Endowed Memorial Fund. No matter which fund you give to, you will be helping Embry-Riddle Ice Hockey secure the resources needed to pursue excellence.
