When we think back to our time at Etown, many of our fondest memories include the Alumni (Tempest) Theatre. That little black box in the middle of central Pennsylvania where we climbed the scaffolding hanging lights with the smell of the sawdust in the Scene Shop pungent in the air. Those emotions of closing night and performing on stage in front of our family and friends. And truly the best part: the lifelong friendships that we made.
This year, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Etown’s West Side Story production. A gathering of celebration, reflection, and inspiration, members of the original WSS show will lead a conversation about the show, how it impacted theatre at Etown, and how things have changed in the time since the production.
In honor of this reunion, and the 125th Anniversary of the College's founding, we’re asking you to please consider a gift to The Professor Michael Sevareid Scholarship, the Theatre Programming, or the Elizabethtown College Fund. No amount is too small, and all gifts will go directly to the designation you choose.
*The Sevareid Scholarship Fund is awarded annually to an Etown student who participates in the Theatre program on campus. It was first awarded in 2008, and to date, 26 students have received more than $65,000 in scholarships!
