Young Center

The Young Center for Anabaptist and Pietist Studies at Elizabethtown College is a vital space for dialogue, creativity, and community—where faith, scholarship, music, and peacebuilding come together in meaningful ways. During Power of One Day on March 24, your gift to the Young Center Endowment will help ensure that this important work continues for generations to come.

Income from the Young Center Endowment directly supports programming that brings people together to explore Anabaptist and Pietist traditions through scholarship, the arts, and lived experience. These programs enrich campus life, engage the broader community, and provide students with formative opportunities to connect academic study with values of peace, service, and justice.

A powerful example of this impact was the November 11, 2025, Young Center event which welcomed more than 100 attendees for an evening of music and reflection. The program featured beloved Brethren singer-songwriters Andy and Terry Murray, alongside Rachel Bucher Swank ’25, an alumna of Etown’s Master of Music and Peacebuilding (MME) program. Their music and stories created a moving intergenerational experience — one that highlighted the enduring relevance of faith-based peacebuilding and the Young Center’s role as a convener of thoughtful, inspiring conversations.
