Men's Lacrosse

Help us fundraise for new equipment and easing the cost of travel expenses. The Men's team is looking to take our first trip to California in the Spring of 2026 to play the other Dominican University near San Francisco.

Coach Shelley Sheiner is the eighth head coach in program history. Coach Sheiner comes to Dominican University New York after spending the past 21 years at Kean University (NJ) an NCAA Division III men’s lacrosse program. Sheiner amassed 223 wins and qualified for the post season in 18 of his 21 seasons. He is the all time winningest coach in their program's history and he is looking to emulate that success here in Orangetown.

Coach Sheiner's impressive coaching background is complimented by his motivation to lead Dominican University New York to becoming the best lacrosse program in the nation on the DII level.

Both Coach Sheiner and Assistant Coach Darren Calendrillo have committed themselves to Men's Lacrosse for the DUNY Day of Giving! Both coaches will be getting permanent tattoos of the Dominican University Charger if the 10K goal is hit. Yes, that is correct "REAL" tattoos. This is total commitment.

Student-Athlete Honors

Last Season Captain Brian Barker had been named to the CACC All-Academic Team and was a USILA Division II Scholar All-American. He was also named onto the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Men's Lacrosse At-Large Team.

Current Seniors and captains Eric Greenwood and Jordan Scott were honored with Academic Honors as well. The program has students that excel in both athletics and academics. Please consider supporting the DUNY Men's Lacrosse team this November 19^th and beyond.
