Men's Lacrosse Team
Recent Accomplishments: DUNY’s Men’s Lacrosse Program takes pride in training and developing student-athletes that excel in both athletics and academics. This past year, DUNY’s Men’s Lacrosse Program began playing under new leadership with Coach Shelly Sheiner. Throughout Coach Sheiner’s career, he has amassed 223 wins and qualified for the postseason in 18 of his 21 coaching seasons. Under his new leadership, the team looks forward to a strong 2025-2026 season!
Student Highlights: In June 2025, Men's Lacrosse player Ryan Gonzalez was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team. Last Season Captain Brian Barker was named to the CACC All-Academic Team and was a USILA Division II Scholar All-American. Current Seniors and Captains Eric Greenwood and Jordan Scott have also received a variety of academic honors.
How You Can Help: Help the Men’s Lacrosse team fundraise for new equipment and ease the cost of travel expenses. Specifically, the Men's team is looking to take their first trip to California in the Spring of 2026 to play Dominican University of California in the San Francisco Bay area.
