The Legacy Lives On: Join the Vagabonds in Supporting the Dr. Tom Tonniges Hall of Music

Doane University has always held a special place in our hearts as lovers of the fine and performing arts. Our years as Vagabonds gave us the kind of life-changing experiences that only the arts can offer.

It may have been a while, but we all remember the countless hours spent in Doane’s arts spaces—rehearsing, creating, and discovering our voices. That spirit of collaboration and creativity lives on in the new Dr. Tom Tonniges Hall of Music, part of Doane’s Glenn Korff Performing Arts Center (PAC) Project. This effort honors the legacy of Dr. Tom Tonniges ’71 and every Vagabond who helped build Doane’s proud performing arts tradition.

This new facility is a beautiful continuation of that legacy. It will give today’s students a home like we once had—only now, more inspiring, more connected, and more equipped to nurture their artistic journey.

We’re thrilled to share that Vagabond alumni have partnered with Doane to lead the final phase of fundraising for this extraordinary project. Our goal is to raise $250,000 in new commitments, and we’re already $50,000 in! Doane will recognize our collective generosity in a meaningful way within the completed PAC.
