Support Study Abroad & Global Education at Dickinson
A Dickinson education is designed to prepare students for lives of leadership and service in a global society—and study abroad is central to that mission. Nearly half of Dickinson students study abroad, gaining invaluable academic, cultural and personal experiences that shape their future paths.
This year, Dickinson is celebrating its commitment to global learning through 600 for 60, a yearlong initiative focused on securing 600 gifts in honor of 60 years of Dickinson-led study abroad. On Day of Giving, you can help propel this momentum forward—and your impact will go even further thanks to generous challenge and matching opportunities.
200 Donors = $25,000 for Global Education
In support of 600 for 60 and global education at Dickinson, Hal Munter ’67 has generously pledged $25,000 if 200 donors make a gift to study abroad or any global education fund on Day of Giving.
Every gift, at any level, moves us closer to unlocking this challenge and expanding access to life-changing global experiences for Dickinson students.
Your gift in support of study abroad on Day of Giving will:
- count toward the 200-donor goal to unlock $25,000 from Hal Munter '67
- count toward the 600 for 60 and $10 million campaigns to celebrate 60 years of study abroad at Dickinson
- strengthen global learning opportunities across campus
- and help remove financial barriers and create immediate and lasting impact for Dickinson students studying abroad.
Malaga Scholarship: $15,000 Matching Opportunity Still Available
There is still $15,000 in matching dollars available for the Grace Jarvis Malaga Scholarship Fund. Between Day of Giving and June 30, former Director of the Malaga Program and Senior Lecturer Emerita Grace Jarvis will match all gifts to the scholarship up to $15,000. Inspired by the many students she has encountered at Dickinson, she has established this scholarship for students with financial need to study abroad in Malaga.
On Day of Giving, your gift to the Malaga Scholarship:
- is matched dollar-for-dollar by Grace Jarvis
- counts toward the 200-donor goal to unlock $25,000 from Hal Munter '67 to support study-abroad programs
- counts toward the 600 for 60 and $10 million campaigns to celebrate 60 years of study abroad at Dickinson
- and helps remove financial barriers for students who study abroad in Malaga.
Whether you give to study abroad broadly, the Malaga Scholarship or another global education fund, your generosity helps Dickinson students see the world—and their place in it—more clearly.
