The Davidson Senior Class Gift is not a fundraising campaign for a bench, telescope or tree. Instead, it is an opportunity for the Class of 2016 to join generations of Davidsonians in showing their appreciation for the college through a gift to The Fund for Davidson.
The Fund for Davidson raises unrestricted, current use dollars that touch all aspects of campus life. Donations to The Fund go directly back into the Davidson experience -- ensuring access and affordability to a Davidson education through The Davidson Trust, allowing our Division I athletes to excel in the classroom and on the field, providing undergraduate research and internship opportunities, and budget relieving support for many other campus programs. Gifts to The Fund for Davidson make an immediate impact on campus.
Last year, the Class of 2015 raised $7,813 and reached 91.8% participation. In 2010, the Senior Class reached a record high 99.3% participation. President Quillen has issued a special challenge to our class. If we reach 85% participation, she will match every gift dollar for dollar up to $15,000. If we reach 90% participation, she will contribute $5000 towards the Senior Class Gift. Let’s accept President Quillen’s challenge and set new records!
While our senior year will be filled with theses, job applications, and many “lasts,” this is a time to come together and celebrate our senior year. We hope that you will reflect on your own Davidson experience and remember the professors, friendships, and moments that made an impact on you. The Senior Class Gift is just one of the many ways that we can celebrate the Class of 2016 this year.
As always, it is a great day to be a Wildcat and a member of the Class of 2016!
Please note: all gifts made through the GiveCampus platform will be unrestricted. To designate your gift to support a specific program, team or scholarship, please contact one of your class agents or visit www.davidson.edu/makeagift.
