Founded in 1842, Cumberland University has been known as a prestigious liberal arts university for nearly two centuries and now has a living alumni base of over 13,000 alumni. With that being said, Cumberland just wouldn’t be what it is today without the generosity and support of alumni like you. By purchasing a membership in The 1842 Society, you help strengthen the alumni association and CU while also receiving benefits just from being a part of it. Your 1842 Society dues enable you to contribute to CU which benefits our current and future students. It is the only organization that single-handedly assists all campus organizations and departments while connecting alums to the university.
