Athletic Training & Sports Medicine

Crown sports medicine consists of three full-time, certified athletic trainers who are partnered with Crown through Mayo Clinic. The AT Staff serves all 16 NCAA teams with injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation with a strong emphasis on keeping athletes competing throughout the duration of their seasons. Our department has recently achieved multiple goals, like increasing our staff to meet student-athlete demands, as well as reshaped our facility to more efficiently operate in how we care for our patients. With that, we are constantly striving to grow as a department and upgrade the experience we provide for Crown student-athletes.

Something we are looking forward to in the coming months includes more upgrades to our facility. We will be adding square footage to our rehabilitation space, which will also provide more room for new equipment to help treat specific injuries. Additionally, we are thrilled about starting the inaugural athletic training work-study in the fall of 2026! This will provide paid positions for current Crown students interested in exercise-science related careers, which is a rare opportunity for undergraduate students in today's landscape.

Athletics at Crown has blossomed into a very impactful component of our campus. We have and will always continue to try our best to keep our athletes healthy and competing at a high level!
