A gift to this fund supports Creighton Prep’s tremendous visual arts program, which fosters the passions and talents of students who want to hone their skills in painting, drawing, sculpting, mixed-media, photography and more.

Your gift will support the equipment, resources, visiting artists, programming and training that allow our students to master their craft and create lasting works of art!

• In 2026, 114 students in the Creighton Prep Fine Arts won a total of 328 Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, these included: 189 Honorable Mentions, 77 Silver Keys and 62 Gold Keys and of these 22 senior portfolios were awarded.

• In 2026, twelve fine arts students were honored in the 31st Annual Catholic High School Art Show, which was featured at Hot Shops Art Center in downtown Omaha.

• Fifteen regional art award winners and two American Vision award winners have gone on to be recognized at the national level.

• Over the past decade, works by Prep visual arts students have been selected by the Nebraska Arts Council for the annual Nebraska Exhibition at the Governor’s Residence.

• Prep fine arts students have gone on to win scholarships and admission to the world’s top art schools, including Bowdoin College, Carleton College, Central Saint Martins (London), Columbia University, Fashion Institute of Technology, Florence Academy of Art, Gonzaga University, Grand Central Atelier, Marquette University, Maryland Institute College of Art, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Pacific Northwest College of Art, Parsons School of Design, Pratt School of Design, Savannah College of Art and Design, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, School of the Visual Arts, St. Olaf College, Stanford University, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film, University of Nebraska-Omaha, and the University of Oregon.

• Chapel paintings and new Ignatian murals are currently being created by our upperclassmen.

• In 2026 the Photo and Film Club curated their Prep Student Art Gallery 5th annual Festival in November and 5th annual Dear Mama exhibit in March

• In 2026 the Fine Arts Department welcomed seven different Prep alumni into classrooms to provide workshops/presentations with current students.

• In January 2026 the new Photography darkroom addition was complete and analog/film work was extended in the photography curriculum. Photography students can expand skills with analog printing and film processing opportunities.
