Cross Country

Our student-athletes have hit the ground running for the 2026 season, and fans like you can help them stay ahead of the pack!

Your gift will provide support for additional athletic training, transportation, ancillary equipment, meals and other items that benefit the cross country team.

Teams: Varsity, JV and freshman

• We have had over 80 student-athletes participate in cross country the past two seasons.
• The varsity cross country team was the Class A state champion in 2025. This is the second state title in the past three years. We have 6 out of the top 9 runners from 2025 back for the 2026 season
• We kick off this season with a time trial at Roberts Park. The team’s best road trip is to Sioux Falls, South Dakota for the Augustana Twilight meet in early September, where the varsity race is under the lights. Later in the season we will travel to Kearney to participate in the UNK High School Classic at the Kearney Country Club. Our season wraps up with a trip back to Kearney for the State Meet on Friday, October 23rd.
• Annually Creighton Prep hosts the Bob Tillman, SJ Cross Country Invitational at Boys Town. It is a unique meet, where runners are entered into 3 divisions based on your best time to date. Over 20 teams participate in this event each year. At the conclusion of the meet, we recognize seniors and their parents.
• Over the past 10 years, Prep runners have gone on to participate in cross country at Creighton University, Iowa State University, Marquette University, Saint Louis University, the University of Dayton, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Xavier University.
