Life Gap Grants When it comes being successful in their classes, CCV students say academics aren’t what gets in the way. It’s life. Our students are often parents attending part-time, working more than one job, and trying to make ends meet. An unexpected expense can derail their educational plans. There is no buffer or safety net and, without support, the dreams they had are put on hold. This is where CCV’s Life Gap Grants make a difference. Life Gap goes beyond regular financial aid and provides emergency funding to keep students going.

I am so truly grateful for the 54 donors who pulled together to exceed our goal and raise $24,200 for Life Gap Grants! 100% of gifts from this campaign pass directly through CCV to our students. The average Life Gap Grant is $188. That’s often all it takes to help a student stay in school and on track to earn their degree.
As the only open admissions college in Vermont with a statewide presence, CCV provides entry to higher education to a broad spectrum of students, 95% of whom are Vermonters. Look around and you will see CCV students everywhere – they are your nurses, police officers, social workers, educators, business owners and more. When you support CCV, you support Vermont.
