The Columbus State University Archives and Special Collections is excited to celebrate its 50th Anniversary!
Established in 1975, the Archives has grown to be a pillar of the community and a state and regional leader, rivaling many much larger institutions in both the caliber of its collections and its world-class facilities. We are proud to celebrate the impact the Archives has had on preserving our rich history, supporting all types of scholarly endeavors, and enriching the lives of our students and others throughout the community.
We could have never achieved so much over the last fifty years without your help. The generous support from our friends and advocates over the years has enabled the Archives to flourish and excel in ways our founders in 1975 would have never imagined. Help us continue to grow and thrive for the next fifty years too! We are setting a goal to raise $50,000 for our 50th Anniversary! This will help offset the costs of hosting our yearlong series of anniversary events. It will also further enable us to continue achieving excellence in our mission over the next fifty years by further growing the collection, pursuing preservation and digitization initiatives, recruiting student interns, curating more exhibitions, hosting more local history lectures, and much more.
