Travel is the world's greatest teacher.
It teaches us courage, compassion, patience, resilience and most of all, it teaches us that we are all a community. These are necessary lessons to learn during our college careers and will benefit students beyond their days at Mines.
We all desire the freedom to roam and are impacted by people we meet from around the globe. These encounters make our lives better. So, our desire is to imagine a new way to experience the world. One built on meaningful encounters and new places, making connections with knowledgeable local guides and opportunities foraged through human connections.
Imagine travel built on exploration, possibility, learning and fun. Imagine changing the world simply by meeting its people, giving back to their community and exploring their land.
The Outdoor Recreation Center is beyond excited to continue ORC Global Adventures, a program that provides students with the opportunity to reach all seven continents during their academic career. The ORC’s goal is to help create the next generation of well-rounded, intelligent and curious student leaders by subsidizing international trips: enabling outdoor exploration, developing lifelong skills, and serving local communities.

The Mines Outdoor Recreation Center appreciates your support!
Your donation will help provide the opportunity for Mines students to expand their horizons, to grow the Mine’s community through human connections, and to fortify their ability to succeed in school and in their future.
For a recap of the ORC’s Trips to Costa Rica, Spain, and Peru within the last year as a result of last year’s fundraising, go to ORC Global Adventures - Colorado School of Mines Athletics.
