Saddle Up CMC and Be Part of the Celebration!
From September 17 through October 2, alumni, friends, employees and community members are coming together to honor 59 years of Colorado Mountain College and support the students carrying its story forward.
CMC welcomed its first students on October 2, 1967, at newly built campuses in Leadville and Spring Valley. Nearly six decades later, CMC has grown to 11 campuses, and more than 25,000 graduates have carried its pioneering spirit into their careers and communities.
Today, students can choose from nine bachelor’s degrees, 55 associate emphasis areas and 89 certificates in fields ranging from nursing, education and business to skilled trades, outdoor industries, sustainability and the arts. Partnerships with the University of Colorado Boulder, Colorado School of Mines and Regis University create even more opportunities through clear transfer pathways and guaranteed admission options for qualifying students.
CMC also brings mountain communities together. The Center for Civics Education & Engagement, Common Reader and ArtShare are just a few of the ways students and neighbors can exchange ideas, share stories and experience the arts.
Join this proud tradition with a suggested gift of $19.67 or more in honor of the year CMC opened its doors. Every gift, no matter its size or where you choose to direct it, helps students access the education, opportunities and support they need to keep moving forward.
After you give, help grow the posse. Share Saddle Up CMC on social media and invite others to join the celebration.
Make your gift. Share your CMC pride. Saddle up for students!
