About

As a form of class legacy, each year graduating seniors are asked to select a class motto and select a specific area of the college they would like to support via annual fund donations. In light of concerns around mental health and conversations around (un)wellness on campus, this year the senior class has identified the Colorado College Mental Health Promotion Fund as the recipient of our senior class gift.

The fund details are:

To support mental health promotion and suicide prevention efforts on campus. This fund may be used for, but is not limited to, investing in all members (i.e., faculty, staff, and students) of the campus community with mental health training (i.e. identifying the signs and symptoms of mental health challenge or illness and how to respond), as well as bringing speakers or programs to campus that address mental health.

The Senior Class Committee will explore how our gifts can have the most impact, potentially including:
· Promoting and creating additional collective community care initiatives such as group counseling and affinity/identity-based affirmation and support spaces
· Bringing external experts, partners, resources, and workshops to campus to expand, support, and supplement the work already being done

We are asking each senior and/or their family to donate whatever amount they are able (recognizing no gift is too small to make an impact in this important work) and encourage seniors to consider donating $20.23 to this fund in honor of our upcoming graduation year. Please participate as you are able; all donors to this fund, of any amount, will receive an honor cord to wear at graduation in exchange for their donation.

We thank you for your thoughtful consideration and potential contribution in order to support campus mental health and wellness initiatives to better serve the next generation of CC students and give everyone the opportunity to thrive.
