Women's Leadership and Mentoring Program (Institutional Program)

By supporting women’s leadership and mentoring programs such as the Institute for Women’s Leadership and Advocates for Inclusive Mentoring, students at Saint Ben’s are able to gain and understand first-hand through research, mentorship, and programming such as Women’s History Month how gender influences leadership in addition to strengthening the sense of belonging and agency of Saint Ben’s students throughout their undergraduate career. With your gift, we will be able to develop better quality programs with intentionality and better help the student body such as:

• The Sister Nancy Hynes Institute for Women's Leadership whose mission is to empower women to become local and global leaders by engaging in inclusive dialogue, reflective thinking, and values-based leadership that celebrates and recognizes women as shapers of our world. Your gift would support a myriad of educational and social programming, national speakers such as Olympic medalist Ibtihaj Muhammad, and provide financial assistance for the students running the program for conference and leadership opportunities.
• Each year, first-year CSB students have the opportunity to apply to become a Hynes Scholars, a yearlong cohort-based program that explores gender and leadership. This cohort commits to personal exploration and reflection, scholarship, and dialogue on topics of gender, leadership, social justice, and identity. Your gift would support providing academic credit, research incentives, and cover conference fees for Scholars to present their research off campus.
• Advocates for Inclusive Mentoring strives to strengthen CSB historically underrepresented student’s personal development and leadership through collaboration with various academic groups on campus to help build community, safe space, and overall student success for historically underrepresented students. Your gift would go to Mentor stipends, activities for Scholars during campus breaks, and academic credit opportunities for the students’ coordinating the program.
