Softball

The goal every year is to play a role in providing the best possible collegiate experience for every one of our student-athletes.

On the field it is important to schedule games against top-ranked teams to gain that experience and exposure and give our young women the best chance possible of making it to the post season NCAA tournament and an opportunity to compete for a championship. In order to secure these match ups, additional travel is required. This year I plan to use funds raised on gift day to support our two fly trips. Typically we only have one fly trip per year, but an opportunity this year was too good to pass up. We plan to travel to Columbus, GA for a long weekend competing in the prestigious NFCA (invite only) Top 25 tournament as well as a spring break trip to Portland, OR. During our trip out west we will travel to 3 schools (Linfield, Lewis and Clark and George Fox) and play double headers at their facility. We are so excited for the competition and the opportunity to make memories with our coaches, teammates and families. These difficult match ups continue to prepare our team for conference compeition and give us our best opportunity at making it to post season play in May.

Off the field, I am proud to say we finished with a team high 3.7 GPA last spring. I am so proud of the way our women balance all of their responsibliites and are able to be committed to excellence on the field and in the classroom. Our team is a competitive bunch, never settling. We always have our sights set higher than the year before and we continue to need your help to reach our goals. Your generous gifts will help us continue to WIN on and off the field.
