Sigma Kappa was founded in 1874 at Colby College and the Lambda Epsilon Chapter was established in 2015 at the College of Charleston. Sigma Kappa supports the Alzheimer’s Association, the Maine Seacoast Mission, Gerontology, the Sigma Kappa Foundation, and Inherit the Earth. They volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association, the local nursing homes (pre COVID), Best Buddies, and Charleston Miracle.
