Kappa Delta Sorority was founded in 1897 at Virginia State Female Normal School (now Longwood University) in Farmville, Virginia. The Zeta Sigma Chapter was founded on the campus of the College of Charleston in 1996. Kappa Delta regularly supports local child-abuse prevention agencies, and volunteers with the Girl Scouts of the USA.
